If your a poker player or know how to play poker, watching those guys is really interesting. Its like any sport. I sit and watch snooker because i know it!!

Each tim an episode is aired why do they have to explain the rules? You watch a major sport and the commentators do not go over the scoring.

I think the people who watch this show (Poker after Dark) are generally:
1. Fans of the pros of poker, where as watching these players is the equivalent to a basketball fan watching their favorite NBA player.
2. Fans of the game of poker. Watching the poker is intellectually stimulating if you understand the different levels of thinking. Much like a grand game of chess.
3. Fans of the appeal of poker, which is the fact that poker is a game for anybody with enough money to buy in, despite your skill level. I mean the WSOP is pretty much like hitting the mega millions with way better odds.
4. Gambling junkies

I rarely watch poker on TV but why do people watch people playing anything on TV? Because it’s interesting I guess. Poker certainly is and that’s why it’s suich a popular sport to watch.
