It doesn't matter which card you get first Then there are 51 cards that you have a chance to draw/ get dealt. 12 of those are of the same suit as the first card you were dealt. So 39/54 is the chance that you get a card with a different suit. Which is about 72 percent chance that your cards are of different suit. Well there are 52 cards in total.
