I tried last night on titanpoker and it would not let me due to new laws…Does anybody know where I can play holdem’ for real money and transfer funds via neteller?
Here is a summary of what is going on with online gambling in the United States.
1) Prior to the passing of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006, eleven states had laws on the books that specifically ban all forms of online gambling. These states are: IL, IN, LA, MI, NJ, NV, NY, OR, SD, WA, WI. Online gambling continues to be considered illegal in these states.
2) The Act did nothing to alter, curtail, or extend state laws regarding online gambling. Thus, it did not make online gambling illegal in all states.
3) The Act places restrictions on the financial transactions that occur in connection with online gambling; it restricts electronic fund transfers and the use of credit cards in connection with such wagering. This means that players can no longer make wagers, or collect winnings using electronic fund transfers, credit or debit cards, or some other online payment systems.
In response to the Act, online gambling sites have done one of three things with respect to US-based real-money players:
1) Continue to accept US-based real-money players from all states
2) Accept US-based real-money players from states other than the states in which online gambling is specifically outlawed (meaning no players from the states listed above)
3) Closed their site to all US-based real-money players
Here is a list of all gaming sites that continue to accept US-based real-money players from all states:http://theonlinecasinogamblingdirectory.…
Here is a list of online poker sites that continue to accept US-based real-money players from all states:http://theonlinecasinogamblingdirectory.…
Both of these lists are updated daily as gaming sites establish and publish their policy with respect to US-based real-money players.
Best of luck!

It depends on what the law is tomorrow. Right now many online casinos still accept US players, but the Feds are making it harder and harder. Still, Prohibition didn’t last forever, so there’s always hope for us dye-hard Poker fans.
I have a full article about the implications of the new Act, plus sites which accept US players:http://www.church-of-texas-holdem.com/on…
I’m currently reviewing a site, which looks like a really good bet for American players. If initial reactions are anything to go by, it’s one to join. Come back to the COTH, or sign up to the eZine, to keep informed:http://www.church-of-texas-holdem.com/lo…
Full tilt poker has vowed to continue catering to USA players. Yes they use neteller as a way of funding an account. Below is a link to the site. (they will match your first deposit dollar for dollar up to $600)
If you want more than a list of poker sites accepting us players check out http://www.ModernGrinder.com they are following all the new developments in the laws very closely and have a ton of great poker articles.
First, let me state that playing online poker is NOT illegal. The new law does not criminalize a person for playing poker online. There is a lot of misinformation going around. I suggest you really do your research and find out the facts for yourself.
That being said, it will be more difficult to fund your account as FirePay has stopped depositing to online gambling sites. However, NETeller will allow you to deposit funds into a new poker account. I did it just a few days ago and had no problem.
I would recommend you open an account at Poker.com. They have pledged to continue to accept US poker players. They are hosting a special $5,000 freeroll just for US players.
Go to: http://www.pokercs.com/_53843fdc33aad464… and sign up for a new account.
Aftre you make your first deposit, enter code FREEDOMFREEROLL and you will receive the following:
Entry into the $5,000 Freedom Freeroll on October 28
Entry into a $500 Freeroll for new depositors
A 100% Reload Bonus up to $500 on your next deposit

6Neteller still works at plenty of sites that are still accepting US players. Try fulltilt, absolute poker, ultimatebet, or pokerstars.

10There’s still a ton of places you can play. Party was mentioned but they don’t allow US players to play for money anymore. http://www.ultimatepokerbankroll.com/art… has a list of sites that allow US players and their press releases. Your best bet is probably FTP, http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/?aff=3425&c…
