   Absolutely. There are many reasons already given here as to why.
   It’s not like Hollywood, however. On TV and in the movies, the good poker player will sit down and clean out the others every time. It appears as if the good player has a talent for always drawing a perfect hand. It doesn’t happen that way in real life.
   Good poker players will win more over a longer period of time than poor or mediocre players. Yes, they’ll still have bad sessions now and then, but in the long run, they come out ahead. The opposite is also true. Poor players will occasionally have a fantastic run of cards, but over a period of time, they’re usually losers.
   Throughout a poker-playing career, everyone will get roughly the same amount of good hands and bad hands. Knowing what to do with those hands is what separates the good players from the rest.

   Of course. Check out the movie Rounders. Like it says in the movie, it’s not a coincidence that the same poker players make it to the final table at the World Poker Championship every year. Noticing other players “tells” (ways they unknowingly react to good or bad cards) helps. Knowing the odds of winning or losing hands can improve your chances. Understanding why people are betting the way they are betting. The list goes on.

   Absolutely. There are many different styles that can make you an effective player. I personally earned about $3,000 this past year in my spare time online poker play, an hour or two after work each night. I would consider myself “tight aggressive”, but there are many other styles that can be effective.

   yes it is possible to be a good poker player. you cant expect it to happen overnight but with time and alot of practice you can become a good player. i agree with the previous answers to as to the different types of players and you have to find your own style of play but mix it up to. dont be just one kind of player because then every one that you play against will know your style and when to mix it up with you. i have tried something and i have an edge on others and it has worked extemely well for me. this is the link to the site i found to get the edge and i would like to share it with you. here is the link http://www.bigleagueplayersclub.com/3cli… if you check it out and like what you see there, i wish you luck with it.
