We have a weekly poker game, just family and friends, nothing professional. Everyone buys in by buying chips with $20 in cash which is kept in the bank until everyone cashes in their chips at the end of the game. One player runs out of chips during the game and buys chips from another player. The seller puts the money in his pocket but the buyer then bets with those chips. It seems to me that there is no cash backing up those bets if the money is already in the sellers pocket. Am I right or wrong?
