   First of all, you need to get really, really good at poker. It’s not about getting spotted by an agent. A professional poker player makes his living by playing poker, regardless of whether anyone is watching or not.
   If you’re lucky enough(and it takes a ton of luck) to win a major poker tournament or make the final table of a few tournaments, then you can consider trying to “brand” yourself as a personality.

   So you think you’re ready to take the next step in your poker game, but you don’t know where to begin? Saying that you are going to be a professional poker player, and actually becoming a professional poker player are on two completely ends of the spectrum. Professional poker players usually do not recommend the lifestyle they have chosen for absolutely anybody. It is a very stressful roller coaster ride of a life, that drive many people to pick up a new occupation.
   But, if you are at the stage of your game that you have decided to become a professional, then I am sure you have weighed the pros and the cons of the decision, and are jus tnow looking for a way to get started.
   The first thing that you need to do is to build your bankroll. No, you cannot make the decision to become a professional overnight. You need save your money for a long time to have a suitable bankroll to back you. My advice would be to pick up a day job as a fall back plan, and that way when you are on a bad stretch of cards you have something to pay some bills. Also, when you have a job it makes you think of the money you are playing with in the proper light. It may improve your game if you know you are putting a bet out with hard earned money.

   Some casinos hold World Poker Tour satellite tournaments, and the top finishers from those tournaments receive invitations to the actual WPT. Thats the only way I know of; check for casinos near you that host WPT satellite tournaments (you have to be at least 21, sucks for people like you and me who are underage = ( ) I’m not sure, but I think the buy in for those tourneys is $500.
   As for the other professional poker tours, I’m sure the process is the same…you just have to qualify at a lesser tournament

   If you are thinking of seriously of becoming a professional poker player, read up on rules, tips and strategies involved in the game.
   The best way is to practice, there is no easy fast way.

   You have to be a good entertainer besides good poker player
   can you put up a good show for the audience?
   can you build up tension in the eyes of the viewer?
   all that is your selling point
   Poker player, basketball player, UFC are all entertainer needs to know how to uproar the audience, if you can do that you’re on your way to make big buck

   Well first off you cant really be a pro or practice at becoming a pro. Its mainly all about the luck of the draw. Those people on TV competete to see who can be called a pro but in reality there not really pros, they just have the title. You can gain the title of “Pro” by winning or getting lucky at comp’s

   Practice is the only way you’ll ever become good at the game.
   To get into those tournaments on TV you either have to pay the buy in (often times it is 10K), or win a satellite to get into the big tournament.

   they got good!
   the definition of a pro poker player is someone who’s only income comes from poker.there are a lot more out there than you think it is only a select few with big personalities that go the TV.

    practice…. Thats really all it is, if your good practice until your better. For most casinos you need to be 21 (some 18, online casinos like http://online18casino.com you need to only be 18 to play)
