   Okay, this is an easy formula to come up with the percentages in poker :
   Let’s suppose you flop two pair and you want to know what the chances are of hitting your full house on the turn and river.
   So, you have 4 outs and 2 chances (the turn and river) to hit one of your outs.
   The trick to figuring out the odds you’ll hit your hand is to multiply your outs (4) times the number of chances to hit it (2), or 4 *2 = 8. Then take that number, multiply times 2, and add a percentage sign (8 * 2 = 16).
   The percentage of the time you will make the full house is 16%
   It’s pretty basic, so this time say you have AK suited in Diamonds. The Flop comes down J 7 2 – 2 diamonds, so you want to know what are the chances you are going to hit your flush on the turn and river, so you have 9 cards in the deck that will make your flush :
   9*2 = 18 (18*2 = 36). So 36% of the time you will hit the flush after the flop.
   If a blank comes on the turn you have (1) chance left so it is :
   9*1 =9 (9*2 = 18) So 18% of the time you will hit the flush with one card to go.

   You can get these percentages in poker books or other types of poker literature. If you read these books and play, these percentages will become a part of you. Some good percentages to know are:
   Chance of making a pair by the river with unpaired hole cards: approx. 45%
   Chance of making a pair on the flop with unpaired hole cards: approx 32%
   Chance of getting dealt a pocket pair: approx 6%
   Chance of making a set on the flop when holding a pocket pair: approx 12%
   Chance of two overcards winning against two undercards when all in: approx. 65%
   Chance of winning when your hand dominates another (such as AK vs. AQ): approx 70%
   Chance of making a straight by the river with a 2-way straight draw: approx. 32%
   Chance of making a flush by the river if you need just one more card of the suit: approx. 38%
   Chance of winning when a larger pocket pair is up against a smaller pocket pair: approx 80%
   Chance of AK winning against QQ: approx. 45%
   Chance of someone else at a full table (10 players) holding AA when you have KK: approx. 5%
   These aren’t hard to memorize so that you won’t have to calculate them. You will use these percentages and many others against the pot odds you are being offered and hands your opponent is likely to be holding.

   A very simple way of doing this calculation quickly is to double your outs, add one and use this as your percentage for pulling the right card. You have 8 outs, your percentage is approximately 17 percent ((8 * 2) + 1).

   Very interesting story. Thus this applies to all card games? The only card game I know so far is how to play bridge contract card game introduced to me by my grand parents. But I’d really like to try poker games for a change and I wonder if this applies to other poker games. It’ll be great if ever. Keep on posting interesting stuff, more power to your blog.
